To be seventeen in Africa and writing your first novel is def'1 acomplishment that Isabelle Boni-Claverie should def' be proud of when she looks back.
This woman who's now in her thirties was born in a upper class family ;her grandad and mother were both political figures..that being said she has had 2 prove that she deserved her place in the world that doesn't "forgive easily", comfortable origins..It's like u have 2 prove that yeah I worked hard , it is not just because my people knew people ..u digg!
Isabelle has 4 movies under her belt, among them "Le Genie d'Abdou" ,
"Pour la Nuit" her latest movie that she directed in 2004.
Originally she had planned on directing it in her country but as you know at that time Ivory Coast was going through major turmoil...so she was forced to direct it in France.....
Anywhoo thought u may wanna know a little bit about this mover and shaker:
Her site is in construction but here it is anyway
Djaa les gos de Cote d'Ivoire sont more fiyaa:)
