FRIENDSHIP ISN'T THAT SOMETHING

I have decided to add a new "rubrique" (feature ) 2 my bloggie...on which I'll reflect on thangs that we all deal with,let it be lovey relationships, health, money issues, immigration, the need of spirituality in our lives etc.......

My topic of 2 day is friendship, whether we are from Sunny Senegal, Tanzania, Marocco, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mali.. , USA, China..I believe that when it comes down to friendship we all face the same issues..

*Who to trust?

*How much can we share? How much shouldn't we?

* Can the gals or the guys we grew up still qualify as being our best friends..or just our childhood friends..etc...

*Feelings of abondonment once your best buddy finds someone and u feel that she may have left u in the dust...ect...ect?

I'll admit it first as a woman as much as we love our galfriends, feelings of envy, jealousy, ressentment, sadness,insecurity in the friedship no matter how slight or pas "mechant", feelings of not being appreciated enough, can come knocking sometimes..can I get an Amen 2 that...

Even the best of friends can sometimes fall out..

Before you start shaking your head w/approval..how about this other thang, once you go to college and live your lives together as sisters, there comes a time when u have to let the other one grow on it's own...

Friendship is so important to us as women, that we tend to
treat our gals better than our own relatives sometimes..

but as soon as there's a rift w/our friends ..we run back 2 our families..!!

But Friendship is so much more than that...

Friendship is having your buddy there for you when your heart is broken, you are so hurt that you may not even know how you will move beyond those days when you hide in your beds , and watch romantic movies, telling yourself...see this could be me & x...& having her dream for u of a reconciliation that U & HER BOTH KNOW AIN'T HAPPENING...LOL

Friendship is also havin' somebody there for you when you are broke and have nowhere 2 turn..

Friendship is laughing your ass off w/somebody else w/whom u share a complicity that even the FBI can crack...

Now that I'm a bit wiser, I realize that it's not always having that person joined at the hip, there comes 1 time as we get older as women, when we may want 2 explore # thangs than our best buddy, there's the phase marriage, baby.....

To me friendship means now understanding that we may not see eye to eye on 1 thing but it doesn't necessarly means that I need to be your mumsey...

We may not wanna share every details of our lives while still loving each other

We may not wanna spend every minute of our lives together but it doesn't mean that we are no longer close.

Just like any relationship in our lives, this tree of friendship needs 2 be taken care of, by kindness, understanding, patiente, and space...

I'm still learning how to be a great friend...how about y'all?!!
