"Whenever you see a successful business, someone once made a courageous decision" Peter Drucker

Years ago when I was interning w/the Washington Center Program (by the way great program for those of you who are in college in the states, a great opportunity to meet young leaders from all over the States in all fields and to see what DC is all about professionally.. I had the chance 2 meet some amazing people on this program) , my roomate had the chance to intern w/the
Corporate Council of Africa...

According to the CCA site, their mission is to :
"CCA members believe that Africa's future success depends upon the ability of its entrepreneurs and business people to create and retain wealth through
private enterprise. American corporations and private individuals can contribute most effectively by building partnership and reaching out to the African private sector in the areas that America knows best: private enterprise, investment capital, technology transfer and management.

CCA programs are designed to bring together potential business partners and raise Africa's investment profile in the US by developing critical contacts and business relationships and providing a forum for the exchange of information and ideas."

The CCA is a great networking organization that discuss policies , regulations by/country in order for it members to better comply to the rules and strengthen the business relationship btw Africa and the West... Some of the social issues they are working on are the implementation of HIV/AIDS work policies... Following the world food crisis , they also lauched the
Agribusiness Initiative program which focuses on market accessibility and infrastructure development.
On June 25th /08 the CCA will host a forum on the Agribusuness Initiative in Africa in Chicago for those of you interested...
