If you are a fan of Broadway shows a la "Lion King" , you may like the musical production of "Kirikou & Karaba" in which you can find as Karaba miss Fatoumata Diawara. The show is set to tour throughout Europe this year, and in 2009 they'll be touring all over Afrika.

She's done so much already at 26, she started her career around the age of 14, she's had the wonderful chance to train w/Sotigui Kouyate,the Royal de Luxe theater company and so many other talented performers. She's working on an album , she's performed w/jazz diva Dee Dee Bridgewater..what so interesting about her 2 me , is the fact that she sings over traditional beats, her sound reminds me so much of Oumou Sangare, et Rokia Traore when i know she could have taken a more modern aproach being that she's lived abroad , received so many other influences bref...interesting young lady...
