THE MAGICAL & BLESSED CITY OF DJENNE MALI

I love this shot by Remi B..

Boy learning the Koran

Ahh take the time to appreciate God's Work

Djenne Woman !
This is for you Anonymous from London*(tx for reading and giving me assignements)

If there's 1 adjective in the dictionary that could define Djenne: I would say that it would have 2 be Blessed.

Did you know that history has it that the Empire of Mali tried to conquer w/no avail the city of Djenne 99 times...99 times...now if that's accurate you can't tell me that it's not God.!!...

Djenne was built around 300 BCE by the ethnical group of the Bozos from West African, and was mainly Muslim..at the time it was geographically important for trade thus the presence of its fish , fruit market ....

Suprisingly Djenne never belonged to the Empire of Mali...But throughout times, Djenne was under the monarchy of different kings ,notament the King Soni Ali...(but his reign only lasted 7 months)....Djenne went to being conquered at different times by the Fulanis, the Toucouleurs, and the French...
NEVERTHELESS HISTORY PROVED IT..DJENNE DOESN'T BELONG TO ANYONE
BUT DJENNE!

Djenne is part of the UNESCO World Heritage sites and is admired of course because of its historty, the Mosk of Djenne that's made of mud and which each year up to today is touched up to keep it looking intact and fresh.....

People who have visited this beautiful town are touched by it's angelic beauty,
the candor of its people, its Muslim character ...makes me want to visit..how about you guys?

Djaa we have to respect our historical sites my people:)
Eyee Wayee:)
