This is the first time in history that an African woman is being celebrated by 1 of the most prestigious non-profit organisation, Dublin based "Frontline Organisation"which mission os to protect social activists in war and danger zones of the world. Those people like Gege in Congo who put their life at risk everyday to the benefit of others...
Gege is the founder of the Solidarity Movement of Women Human Rights Activists in Congo where as some of you may know rape is a humangous issue..women are violated in villages and then rejected by their own families..that's crazzyyy...
Anywhoo Gege and her team collects sexual abuse victims testimonies and report them to Court, they try to help those women in any way that they possibly can.....they are their faces:)
It doesn't go without saying that Gege is threatened on the regular, she was also banned from travelling from the end of the nineties to the early 00's.
