The owner of the club in the November 2006 Amina Mag'

Class hun?!

For those who live in Montreal, there might no need of introduction..
But for others like me who live elsewhere...do know that when u go to Montreal..and you are looking for a fly place to be around our own"the African Gente" sur des sons de couper decaller, ndombolo(of course)..american music, reggae...ect from 10:30 pm to 3Am
(Try to 2 be on time..you know how we as African peeps like to come @2 AM ..well this is Montreal..not Dakar or Abidjan so they have regulations)

Another cool thing is that the club is actually owned by an African sista (from Cameroun) who had the awesome idea to create a place for us to get away from the stress of the Western World..(can I get an Amen to that..lol)

Anywhoo you know the deal by now..the webbie:

"La fleur des delices"

The Congolese Painter Bodo is 1 of the pionners of the "Zaire school of Popular Painting" which consists of depicting every day life in a simplistic and very realistic way...

One interesting fact about him is that before he became "born again Christian" 1 of his main themes was "Ndoki Zoba" (sorcellery)..well I guess once ge found God he felt convicted..

Anywhoo nowadays he uses his dreams/fantasy word in his simbolic interpretations

Hun..was my first thought when I read about this man's initiative..very interesting...

A bit contrevorsial..but makes senses I guess.."a la guerre comme a la guerre"

This is a short bio of Dr.Mo Ibrahim

"Dr Mo Ibrahim is the founder of Celtel International and one of Africa’s most successful business leaders. Originally from Sudan, Dr Ibrahim is a global expert in mobile communications with a distinguished academic and business career.

In 1998, he founded MSI Cellular Investments, which was later renamed Celtel International. The company now operates in 15 African countries, under licences that cover more than a third of the continent’s population. The company has invested more than $750m in Africa, helping to bring the benefits of mobile communications to millions of people across the continent. In 2005, Celtel was sold to MTC Kuwait for $3.4bn, making it one of Africa’s most successful companies ever.
Dr Ibrahim holds a BSc in electrical engineering from the University of Alexandria, Egypt, an MSc in electronics and electrical engineering from the University of Bradford, and PhD in mobile communications from the University of Birmingham. He is a member of the Africa Regional Advisory Board of London Business School."

Wanna know more about him, read this interview:

BUT what got me interested in him is that he founded the "Mo Ibrahim Foundation"..his initiative is simple to create some type of financial funding or support for the African leaders which would intice them not to hold on to power for too long...in the form of an award (which will consist of 10 annual payments of 500,000 dollars (396,000 euros), with a 200,000-dollar-a-year life pension to follow)

Waouh you gotta pay people now to leave office now..hun!!

Anywhoo just for being a great businessman & for having initiative
Atalakou pour le Soudan:)

It never ceases to amaze me how one keep discovering new talents.. things or people you've never heard of before....

Anywhoo I'm now discovering the sound of Ayo the beautiful nigerian/German young songstress..

At 26 years old, Ayo has lived a rich life..btw living in Cologne , New York & Paris.
This cosmopolitan lifestyle gave her music its gypsi/melancolique edge which sets apart from other songstress.
