Yes Miss Katerina Graham which plays the character of Bonnie on the supernatural-fantasy show Vampire Diaries is of African ancestry. Her father is Liberian American while her mama is Russian.She was born in Geneva and grew up in America where she picked up her love for the entertainment industry. Her father was a music executive and as they say the apple don't fall far from the tree.

As a teenager she danced for Bow Wow, Missy Elliot,Pharell ect...She also appeared in several commercials for K Mart,Barbie, Pop Tart ect..I loved hearing that she went to school for a degree in recording engineering. I have a feeling that his girl will be major at some point in her career because she's so talented: she can sing, act, dance,and she even produced her own beats when she didn't have enough money to hire producers.You may have heard on Will I Am's song "She get it from her mama" or seen on Hannah Montana, Malcom & the Middle, the Fanta commercial, the movie "17 Again"...bref she's "grinding hard".

Some of her upcoming projects include a movie w/Gossip Girl starlet Leighton Meester called "The Roommate" and the first directorial effort by Cedric the Entertainer "Chaka Bell" not bad for a 20 years old young lady:)
